So here are the things you do and in this very order. I call these the Regret Minimization Steps:
- Move out of your house. Move away from your family members if they are not high-performance people. If you can’t move out of the house for some reason, move out of the house mentally, which means to stop caring about what your family members do, say or think about you. I mean literally stop giving an f#@k. It’s time to be on your own. Completely self-reliant. So it’s time to figure out what you want from life and get so obsessed with that that you have no time to think about anything else, not even what happens to your family members (I mean it because otherwise, you might have some regrets later). Also, needless to say, but get off social media.
- Build High Self Esteem. This is the most important part of all. **You have to hold yourself up in all regards. Always think highly of yourself. Remind yourself of the best things you did and how you can do more such things that will further boost your self-esteem and self-confidence. Keep on building it. Recite daily positive affirmations that pump you up instantly. You can find a lot of YouTube channels that create excellent affirmations. Listen to them every day.
- Dream Big. If you have big enough dreams, you will stop caring about petty things like what other people are doing, saying, or thinking about you or anyone else. It’s just not important to know everything. Start dreaming of an ideal life as you want to truly have. At this moment, don’t care about how you will turn your dreams into reality. Just dream for the moment. Visualize all your dreams in 8D colored virtual reality. Again, a lot of YouTube channels are teaching how to create mind movies. Watch them.
- Set Goals. Sit down and decide what steps it will take for you to get what you want. Break all your dreams into actionable steps. Reverse engineer everything and see how the most successful people started from zero and made it big and how you can do the same.
- Focus. Choose only one dream at first. Focus all your energies into that one dream. We fail because we do too many things and we do all those things poorly. To be really good at something, you need to get into the soul of it. You must immerse yourself completely into it. But remember that you won’t be able to do it if you don’t love it with all your heart. So pointing at the right dream is important, one that takes you to self-actualization, depending upon your strengths and weaknesses. Once you find that vocation that truly fulfills you, you are ready to dive deep into it. If you don’t know it yet, don’t waste time figuring out. Start tasting different things which you like doing already. You’ll know within a few months if it’s what you love or not. Switch when you know.
- Take Action. Without this, all the above steps mean nothing. YOU MUST ACT RIGHT NOW! It’s okay if you’re not prepared. Trust me, you’ll never be 100% prepared. Start taking action right now. Don’t worry about the results. Just act on the steps that you figured out while setting goals.
I’m sure if you religiously follow what I told you above, you will be on your way to success. Stop complaining about external events. The only thing we control is our own actions, and I just told you what to do.
